Description
The takeoff site is approximately 166 meters high and is considered difficult. It is rarely used due to challenging conditions. No flights have been logged here, and there is no landing zone directly below. The necessary wind directions often create rotor, making takeoff risky. It is generally advised to avoid this site.
Takeoff is complicated, situated on a cliff. Do not fly with winds from the West or Northeast as the takeoff area is in a gully, causing rotor.
Landing options include the beach or the skating rink just above the beach. Avoid flying on summer days when the beach is crowded.
Access to the site is next to Zurriola Beach in Donostia. The takeoff on Monte Ulía is complicated, and the landing is either on the beach or the skating rink above it. The weather beacon for Gipuzkoa on Monte Ernio is 146.850. Access to the takeoff is difficult if you are not familiar with the area.
This site is recommended only for experienced pilots. Do not fly on beach days or with East-Northeast winds.
