Description

Elevation: 812 meters, Height Difference: 330 meters. This site is occasionally used for local flights and some thermalling. It's a great spot for hike & fly enthusiasts who enjoy scenic hikes followed by a glide down. The launch area has a relatively narrow gap, which can be challenging if you don't catch a lift immediately. This site is accessible all year round. There is also a nearby option for northwest-facing launches. Check out the pictures for more details. Minimum level required: Intermediate (P3). Elevation: 430 meters (1400 feet). Orientation: 270° (W) and 315° (NW). Period of activity: All seasons. Type of flight: Dynamic and thermal. Rules: - Have valid liability insurance (ACVL). - Pay an access fee at the L'INTERVAL hostel and check in at reception upon arrival and departure. - The area is wild and wooded. NEVER FLY ALONE. - Carry a whistle, GPS, and radio (note that radio range is not guaranteed everywhere). - Cell phones do not work at this location. Rescue operations can take a long time to arrive. To get there: Take Highway 15 to Ste-Agathe-des-Monts, then Route 329 towards St-Donat. Follow directions for Auberge L'Interval, where you can park.
