Description
The main launch site is situated at an altitude of 1815-1855 meters and is considered easy to access. The primary launch direction is west, and the site is frequently used, especially for beautiful afternoon soaring sessions. Cross-country flights are also possible, particularly with an east wind heading towards Pinzgau. Landing options include Wagrain or, on the other side in the lee, Flachau, which is often used.

Access to the launch site is via a cable car from Wagrain. The site is open year-round and features a grassy slope, making it an excellent afternoon flying area. There are no fees for launching or landing.

The launch site is located three minutes south from the mountain station. The area is suitable for paragliders and is an approved training ground. Be mindful of the cable car line nearby.
This is a wonderful all-round flying area suitable for everyone from beginners to frequent flyers. In winter, you can enjoy hours of soaring, with thermals starting to build up by mid-February. Throughout summer and autumn, the site is ideal for cross-country and altitude flights. Top landing is possible year-round.

Flight options include soaring in the western basin and cross-country flights along the northern edge of the Tauern. The starting points are Wagrain and Flachau. Simply head up the mountain. Note that there are high-voltage power lines in the valley between Wagrain and Flachau, and another high-voltage line in Flachau between the mountain and the landing site.
