Description
Dingle is an occasionally used paragliding site, primarily for soaring and small cross-country flights. The takeoff point is situated at an elevation of 80 meters above sea level, with a height difference of 65 meters. The maximum flight altitude allowed is 3000 meters.
The site is visible from the Dingle exit on the highway. You can view the location on Google Maps for precise directions. The launch area is located northwest of the Naturbruksgymnasiet. Park your car near a small electrical box in the forest (marked 'P' on the map) and then walk westward towards the launch site (marked 'S' on the map). The path is mostly gentle, with only a short steep section halfway. An orange windsock on a tall tree at the launch site is visible from the field below and can be spotted with binoculars from the Dingle exit.
The site is suitable for winds coming from the south. It is possible to start even in southwest winds, although caution is advised due to numerous potential snag points for lines on the rocks and heather. There are also other cliff launch options in the Dingle area.
Landing is done in the meadow near the windsock.
