Description
The Duckabush River Valley in the USA offers a paragliding site with an elevation of 890 meters and a height difference of 890 meters. This site is occasionally used for thermal soaring and small cross-country flights. The site record stands at 25.1 km.
However, access to this site has become more challenging since Rayonier purchased the surrounding land in 2020. As of 2021, access is restricted to those who purchase a hunting permit, which has significantly reduced the site's usage.
For more information and updates on alternative sites, visit the Rainier Paragliding Club's [flying sites page](https://sites.google.com/view/rainierparaglidingclub/flying-sites). The club is currently developing a new site in the Hamma Hamma Valley, with plans to have experienced pilots evaluate it in the spring of 2022. Updates will be provided on their website once the new launch site information is available.
