Description
This site is occasionally used for soaring and offers both hang gliding and paragliding opportunities. It features a pure ridge lift and excellent cross-country potential on thermal days.
There are superb landing areas below, and the local community is friendly and enjoys seeing the flying activities. Parking is allowed at the end of the gravel road near the newly built house just west of the landing zone (LZ). Do not park along the grassy road, as it may block machinery stored by a neighbor.
To reach the launch site, walk up the grassy road, pass the abandoned cottage, and continue up the clearing past the large spruce tree.
The launch area is expected to expand soon. The airspace is 450 meters.

Type of site: Ridge lift
License requirement: Pilot 2
Wind directions: South, South-East
Launch altitude: 90 meters above sea level
Height difference: 70 meters
Maximum flight altitude: 455 meters
Directions: Drive from Gothenburg towards Särö. Turn left towards Släps K:A, opposite the Särö entrance. Keep right immediately (not towards the church). Turn left towards Gröninge after a kilometer. The ridge is on the left side of the road, just after a motorcycle shop.
Launch info: Narrow cliff launch, but good pressure in the wing even when it is on the ground.
Landing info: Good, but potentially turbulent behind the grove on the west side of the ridge.
Comments: The ridge has a steep slope, is a few hundred meters long, and can be turbulent with solar radiation. It is somewhat similar to Agnesberg but with excellent landing opportunities.
