This site is exclusively for members of Lsg Harz and our flight students under the supervision of an instructor. At Schäferstuhl, the situation has improved slightly, allowing flights with prior permission from me. You may need to contact the model aircraft flyers on-site to ensure they are not disturbed. Violating these rules will result in exclusion from Lsg Harz. Members are expected to carry their membership cards for mutual verification, ensuring the site's preservation. We will monitor compliance, and any violations will reinstate the old rules at Schäferstuhl.
At Butterberg, the old rules apply: park only in residential areas without disturbing residents, then walk up the hill. Do not open any gates of the enclosures; special crossings are built at the fence transitions.
Before starting flights, pilots must be informed that the operations are conducted in a landscape protection area, requiring particularly considerate behavior. Pilots must also be reminded not to enter the adjacent Butterberg nature reserve, and compliance with this prohibition must be monitored during flight operations. Vehicles must be parked in designated areas in Bad Harzburg, as driving in the landscape protection area is not allowed. Training flights with hang gliders are only conditionally suitable, depending on the weather conditions.
