Description
The launch site at Varuna, located at an altitude of 1923-1970 meters, is relatively seldom used. It is suitable for soaring and mini cross-country flights.
Access to the site is convenient; from the Cavaglia train station (RhB), it takes about 40 minutes on foot by following the signposts.
Important considerations: Do not fly when there is a north wind. There are no official landing sites, and you should avoid landing in tall grass. From May 1st to mid-June, landing options are limited, so always inspect the area beforehand and ask for advice if needed. In summer, the valley wind can be quite strong and should not be underestimated.

Varuna is a beautiful launch site accessible by train and on foot. The area is suitable for glide flights, soaring flights, or thermal flights, making it a versatile spot for paragliding.

Note: The Puschlav region often experiences strong thermal winds. Avoid flying during Föhn conditions.
