Infos: Choppy water, and with northerly wind small waves, breaking on a sandbar, about 100m from shore. Some small boats are anchored in the bay. Do not surf in the shipping channel, well marked with buoys. Look out for swimmer during July and August. Further west behind the harbor is a flat water area with northerly winds, where the waves get blocked by a rocky mole. But look out for fisher nets. Stay away from the bridge. Look out for the current closer to the bridge.

Infos: Small, sandy beach, with pebbles and some shells. Not much space. To the west some bigger stones on the waterline.

Wind specificities: Mainly westerly depressions. Best with a NE wind, which is not too often, but can blow any time throughout the year. It normally blows some days in a row, when a high pressure system is above the Baltic Sea, also bring nice, sunny weather.

Access description: by Car - Drive towards Fehmarn, then exit to Grossenbrode and drive into the village. Look out for signs to Grossenbroder Faehre and follow those. You will get to a small parking lot with a small food trailer (during summer season). Park here and walk either to the right or left of the parking lot to the beach. Do not drive into the private area, which is signed and can also be locked. Walk for about 300m.

Extra: Please avoid the shipping channel and riding close to the bridge. Not a beginners spot. This spot should only be used if anything else is too crowded. It holds only few riders.
