This breakwater/jetty spot is known for its hollow and fun waves, working at all tides, particularly during a rising tide. Access is easy, with a parking lot available just off Tamarack Avenue. Located at the end of Tamarack Avenue, this surf spot is popular among locals and visitors alike, especially in summer when other San Diego beaches may be less favorable. The area offers about five peaks, with the best conditions found near the jetty, where powerful barreling shorebreaks attract bodyboarders. While the waves can be fun, surfers should be cautious of strong rips and undertows.
