Brooks Street - Laguna Beach Brooks Street features a powerful, ledgey reef break that works at all tides. The wave breaks both right and left over a sharp rocky bottom, with the First Reef located about 50 meters from shore and the Second Reef approximately 95 meters out. This spot is best during south swells of 2-3 meters, attracting experienced surfers. Located in picturesque Laguna Beach, Brooks Street is a popular destination, especially in summer and autumn. The surf can be thrilling during large swells, transforming the rocky reef into a 200-yard ride. However, the conditions can be inconsistent, often resulting in wobbly and sectiony waves. The bottom is a mix of sharp rocks and sand, making it essential to watch your step. While the crowd is generally manageable during the week, weekends can see an influx of surfers. Parking can be challenging, so securing a spot early is advisable. Access is straightforward via Laguna Canyon Road or PCH, with stairs leading down to the beach from nearby streets.
