Parapente Virar Sydney Hill Silin Hill

Located in KOPRI village, Virar East, just two kilometers from Virar station, this paragliding site offers a unique flying experience. The hill stands at 300 feet above ground level and 350 feet above sea level. The site is flyable almost every day, making it a reliable choice for enthusiasts. The take-off area is not extensive but sufficient for launching novice pilots. The landing area consists of paddy fields, with a railway track nearby, though it is unlikely to pose any danger. The best wind directions for flying here are North and North West. The site benefits from a consistent laminar sea breeze, particularly in the afternoons, which is ideal for new students. The flying season spans from September to June. Climbing the hill can be a bit challenging due to its steepness. There is an alternative gentle slope for climbing, but it is less convenient as it is further from the landing area. Despite its small size, pilots can soar for hours on this hill. However, it is not suitable for more than three pilots in the air simultaneously.
