Description
The slope near the village of Topolitsa is part of the Stara Planina mountain range and offers two takeoff locations. The southern takeoff, with a 350-meter elevation difference, is ideal for thermal and ridge soaring in southeast, south, and southwest winds. The launch area is spacious and clean, accommodating multiple paragliders simultaneously.
If you follow the dirt road to the east, you will reach the eastern takeoff. This location is suitable for both slope soaring and thermal flying in east, east-southeast, and southeast winds.
To reach the takeoff points, take the Burgas-Sofia road and turn off towards the village of Topolitsa, which is 12 km from Aitos. From there, follow the asphalt road to the 'Zdravets' chalet and the 'Lukoil' holiday home. The southern takeoff is just 100 meters from the road.
