Description
The Stoderzinken is one of the premier flying mountains in the Enns Valley, Austria. Accessible via a toll road, the launch sites are well-frequented and offer excellent cross-country (XC) flying opportunities. Paragliders can reach the launch sites after a 30-minute walk from the Steinerhaus parking area. The launch sites are located near the summit and are easily accessible.

The launch site at Stoderzinken is ideal for both paragliders and hang gliders. The southern launch (SW-S-SE) is located at approximately 2000 meters above sea level and is a grassy field below the summit, reachable by a 30-minute walk from the Steinerhaus. The area is known for its strong thermals, making it a popular spot for long flights.
In winter, flights below 300 meters above ground level towards the west are prohibited due to wildlife conservation areas. Pilots should be cautious of strong east winds and aim to fly towards the landing place immediately after launch.

Before flying, pilots must purchase a start and landing card at the toll station's guesthouse for €3. Unauthorized launches outside the designated areas and winter flights towards the west are prohibited.
