This site is regularly used and offers good cross-country (XC) potential for both hang gliding (HG) and paragliding (PG).
Enjoy magnificent flights over Lake Lucerne with favorable flying conditions often lasting until sunset, especially with a light breeze. Access to the launch sites near the mountain restaurant is via a funicular from Stans, followed by a cable car.
Important: This flying area is located within the Buochs Control Zone (CTR)! Flights are only permitted with radio communication. Be sure to check the information boards at the mountain railway station.
