Paragliding Sonchaux Nord

Located in the Vaud region of Switzerland, this paragliding site offers a launch altitude of 1420 meters. The site is frequently used and is suitable for both soaring and some cross-country (XC) flying. The site record is 14.1 km. Launch Directions: South, Southwest, West, Northwest Difficulty: Easy Coordinates: 6.94830563, 46.41389117 Access: You can reach the launch site by using shuttles from Rennaz (organized by the RNVL club and local schools) or by driving to the Auberge de Sonchaux and then hiking for about 10 minutes. The north-facing launch is steep and allows for soaring along the ridge leading up to Rochers de Naye when there is a north wind. The west and south-facing launches are very easy.
