The site is frequently used and is known for its good thermal conditions, making it possible for cross-country flights. The best wind direction for flying here is from the Northwest, and the evening restitution is particularly favorable.
The takeoff area is large and suitable for pilots of all levels. The landing zone is at Venta del Rayo, which is spacious and ideal for safe landings.

Access to the takeoff point is straightforward. From Avda. de Andalucía (the old Málaga road), the ascent to the takeoff is located between the Guardia Civil barracks and the Ermita de San Roque. The start of the ascent is marked by a plaza next to a car dealership. The dirt track is well-maintained and accessible by any vehicle.
The elevation difference is 500 meters. Be cautious of strong and turbulent conditions when the wind is from the southwest. The free frequency for communication is RX 152.300 / TX 147.7.
There is another takeoff point for North winds, but it is rarely used as it is not well-conditioned and is only recommended when the wind is completely from the North.
