Paragliding Schneeberg Waxriegel

The takeoff altitude is approximately 1850 meters. This site is occasionally used and can be accessed by taking the mountain railway from Puchberg, followed by a bit of hiking. It offers soaring opportunities and, on rare occasions, some cross-country flights are possible. This is a high alpine area, which means it experiences strong turbulence, making it unsuitable for beginners. The stunning landscape and unique flight experience are noteworthy. Thermal conditions are somewhat favorable only on the southern side, starting from Waxriegel. At the summit, cumulus clouds often create shading issues.
