From there, take the cable car to Gietisflue. Then, walk to the launch site. The launch site is a moderately steep meadow. A classic route is the lake crossing (Urnersee) to Flüelen. Reliable thermals are available from early morning. There are two notable peaks, 'Scharti' and 'Gitschen,' with different characteristics. The former is slightly lower and gentler, while the latter is about 600 meters higher with rockier terrain.
