Description
Located in the picturesque region of Hinterglemm, Austria, this paragliding site offers an elevation of 1939 meters with a height difference of 803 meters, making it an easy spot for both summer and winter activities. In the summer, it's popular for walk & fly, while in the winter, you can use the ski lift.
The takeoff area is situated in Saalbach-Hinterglemm and is suitable for south to east winds. You have two options for takeoff: either use the steep slope next to the restaurant or walk down 200 meters from the lift station to a round hill for an easier launch.
To reach the site, take the Zwölferkogelbahn cable car. From the top, descend about 50 meters over the ski slope, then continue along the ridge until its end. The takeoff area is a grassy meadow, and you can start in either a south or east direction.
Please note that you need to ask the landowner at Breitfußalm for permission to take off. During the summer, landing in Hinterglemm is not allowed. Make sure to fly high enough along the east flank towards Hinterglemm, as there are no landing possibilities in Schwarzachergraben.
