Description
This paragliding site in Switzerland is situated at an altitude of 1754 meters and is considered easy to access. It is occasionally used for soaring and leisure flights, with some potential for cross-country (XC) flying.
The takeoff area is oriented towards the South, Southwest, and West, and is of medium difficulty. The elevation at the takeoff point is 1751 meters, and there is a cable car available for easier access. The coordinates for the takeoff are 8.486278045177, 47.054901245267, and it is just a 2-minute walk from the cable car station.
Before the takeoff area, there is a sparse row of trees. In a southwest wind, it is usually sufficient to clear the tree line. In a west wind, it is best to fly immediately to the left parallel along the ridge until you gain enough altitude to head towards Goldau.
To reach the takeoff, walk from the train stop, pass a long stable, and just at the end of it on the right side, you will find the takeoff area.
