Paragliding Reichenhausen

The southeast slope at Reichenhausen is a low-altitude, strong wind, and training site that often provides good soaring conditions, especially in winter when the more exposed hilltops are too windy. Flights typically start next to the windsock in the middle section of the slope. After takeoff, it's best to fly to the right to catch the lift close to the slope. When flying back, remember to follow the right-of-way rules and maintain a safe distance. Landing is usually done on the grassy area at the base of the slope. This site serves as an alternative to Wasserkuppe. After nighttime cooling, the basin areas are shielded from strong prefrontal south winds. In case of heavy flight traffic, consider diverting to Träbes-Seeba. If you gain significant altitude, you can fly towards Kaltennordheim and the Dachstein. Parking is available at the war memorial, but ensure you do not block access. Any damage to agricultural fences must be repaired, and you should report to the agricultural cooperative if necessary.
