Paragliding and Hang Gliding
Takeoff Exposure: SE - S
Takeoff Altitude: 260 meters above sea level
Glide Ratio: 1:3
From the Borgio level crossing, take the road heading towards Verezzi. After approximately 2.5 km, turn right following the signs for "Il Mulino." Then take the uphill road to the left (there might be a barrier; please make sure to close it after passing). Once at the top, leave your car in the abandoned quarry parking area and continue on foot for about 200 meters along the path that starts behind the small house with large antennas. The takeoff area is spacious and can accommodate two to three wings at a time, but be cautious as it ends on a small cliff.
You can soar along the ridge in front of the takeoff. On favorable days, you can head east, pass Monte Caprazoppa, and land on the beach at Finale Ligure. However, this option is strongly discouraged for first-time flyers here, as there are no escape routes in case of a 'sink' due to the lack of beaches along this stretch of coast.
Typically, landing is done on the beach in front of the Borgio level crossing, where there is also a parking area for cars. The beach is generally very wide.
