Description
Eagle Peak, situated at an elevation of 1677 meters with a height difference of approximately 650 meters, is a moderately popular paragliding site in Colombia. This spot is regularly used and offers various takeoff options, with the main one being the most frequented. The site is known for its thermal soaring conditions, making it possible to engage in some cross-country (XC) flying.
Eagle Peak is a scenic and interesting location, often considered more pleasant than Golondrinas due to its less urban environment and reduced smog levels. The takeoff area is relatively short but manageable, especially with some headwind. In the absence of wind, a forward launch is required.
There is no official landing zone at Eagle Peak, so it is advisable to contact local pilots. You might need to seek permission from the landowner for landing.
