Description
Located in the Valais region of Switzerland, this paragliding site offers a take-off altitude of 2350 meters with a height difference of approximately 1200 meters. The site is occasionally used and cross-country flights are possible. The site record is 70.2 km.
The take-off area is a moderately steep meadow, easily accessible via a 5-minute walk from the Pas de Maimbré cable car station in Anzère. The launch direction is west, and the difficulty level is easy.
Soaring is possible with a west wind, and cross-country flights can be made towards Savièse or Montana. In the late afternoon, you can climb dynamically along the western slopes and catch thermals above the Scex-Rouge summit. Landing is possible in Ayent, requiring a glide ratio of 4.5. Be cautious of the cable car wires and the controlled airspace of Sion Airport.
