Description
Located in the Davos region of Switzerland, this paragliding site offers a takeoff altitude of 2810 meters and is suitable for pilots with easy to medium skill levels. The site is occasionally used and offers the possibility for cross-country (XC) flights. Access is convenient via the Parsenn mountain railway from Davos.
For takeoff, there are two main options:
- **North Takeoff**: This launch site is just a 5-minute walk from the gondola station. It features a windsock and is accessible in both summer and winter. The takeoff is easy, and with moderate north winds, dynamic soaring is possible. The typical flight route takes you via 'Gotschnagrat' to the landing zone (LZ) in Klosters.
- **South Takeoff**: Located between the gondola station and a nearby restaurant, this takeoff is accessible in both summer and winter but is considered difficult and is recommended only for experienced pilots. The flight route from this takeoff leads to the landing zone in Davos-Bolgen.
The site record for distance is 26.0 km.
