Parapente Panahaiko South High

The Panaxaiko Patras site in Greece offers a unique paragliding experience. The take-off point is located on the northern side of the Panahaiko mountain at an altitude of 1425 meters. The coordinates for the take-off are UTM 34S N x: 573622 y: 4228857. This site is suitable for soaring and has potential for good cross-country (XC) flights. To reach the take-off area, you will need to drive approximately 60 minutes from Patra. The route takes you through Zastova, where you turn left towards the Panahaiko shelter. The road becomes a dirt path as you pass an abandoned sanatorium and a lower landing area. Continue driving until you reach the shelter, then proceed to the end of the dirt road. From there, it's a short 200-meter walk to the take-off area. The take-off area is spacious with a good inclination, making it suitable for launching. Typical flights from this site can be a simple drift of about 7 kilometers to the landing area in Omblo. For more adventurous pilots, routes can extend towards Rio, Omblo, the top of Panahaiko mountain, and further to Leondio, Rakita, and Kalavrita.
