Description
Located in Morocco, this paragliding site offers a mix of soaring and thermal flying, with some flights reaching heights over 1000 meters. The site is frequented by many pilots and is known for its excellent soaring conditions.
There are two official take-off points: "Nid d'Aigle," managed by a Frenchman, and another nearby site managed by an Englishman named Nigel. "Nid d'Aigle" features a concrete take-off area and accommodations, while Nigel's site has gravel-covered take-off areas and caravans. Both take-offs require a fee of approximately 20 Dh for a day. Due to the abundance of cacti in the region, finding alternative take-off spots is nearly impossible.
For landing, it's crucial to inquire about the appropriate landing zones before taking off, as they can vary by season. The primary landing area is at an altitude of 60 meters along the road to TO. Avoid landing in planted fields to prevent jeopardizing the site; there are plenty of barren fields available for landing. Top-landing is also possible.
To reach the site, travel from Tiznit to Aglou Plage. In Aglou, turn left towards Mirleft. About 10 km after Aglou Plage, you'll find a gravel road on your left winding up the hill, where you can see Francois's house. Follow the sign for "Take-off/decollage" and go straight to reach Francois/Nid d'Aigle.
Nid d'Aigle offers rooms with panoramic ocean views, a take-off point just 2 meters from your room, and an onsite restaurant serving Moroccan cuisine. It's an excellent choice for those seeking a pleasant atmosphere and good food at reasonable prices.
Be cautious of south and north winds, as they can pose weather hazards. For more information, you can contact Francois or Siham.
