Conditions Optimales
Description
Located in Morocco, this paragliding site offers a stunning coastal experience with a takeoff elevation of 338 meters. The site is frequently used and small cross-country flights are possible. The orientation is primarily southwest, northwest, and west.
This coastal site provides hours of soaring along the hills when the sea breeze is favorable. Access to the site is via a track on the left, taken further south after the second white house. Landing options include the plateau or the beach near the hotel. Soaring along the stone arch in ideal conditions is a memorable experience.
The hotel on the beach is an excellent choice for a pleasant overnight stay with a sea view. For landing, you have two options: on the top of the village called Legzira Beach, just to the right of the track before the camper parking, or directly on the beach. Many visitors consider this the most beautiful beach in Morocco.
To reach this site, from Tiznit, take the road to Aglou Beach, then head south towards Mirleft. Pass the village of Mirleft, which offers good spots for lunch and accommodation, and continue directly to Legzira Beach.
Weather hazards include the usual thermal-dynamic conditions near the water, and it is advised not to fly over the crest. Toplanding can be hazardous due to numerous cacti.
For accommodation and dining, options are available in Mirleft or Legzira Beach village, or you can stay in a camper on the top of the village. Sidi-Ifni, a larger town about 25 km south, offers more amenities.
The typical market in Tiznit is held every Wednesday morning, offering affordable tajine plates, fruits, and vegetables. Mirleft's main road is lined with markets selling various goods, including fruits, bread, fishing materials, hotels, and restaurants.
For money and market needs, Sidi-Ifni is the place to go. The road from Sidi-Ifni to Mesti is known for its cactus flowers and salad area, although it is not flyable due to the cacti. Mesti is also known for its production of the rare Argan oil, made exclusively by women.
Takeoff is easy in the west direction, but the wind tends to pick up after 3 PM. When the wind is northerly, soaring over the arch is possible.
