Located in the Lenk region of Switzerland, this paragliding site offers a challenging yet rewarding experience. The take-off point is at an elevation of 2090 meters and is accessible via a cable car to Metsch, followed by a chairlift. Note that the chairlift operates only in winter. In summer, alternative flying sites include Betelberg (accessible by gondola) or Obere Seewlen (accessible by taxi). The take-off area is a flat space for layout, followed by a very steep incline. The site is occasionally used, primarily for soaring and medium-length flights, and is more popular in winter due to the consistent updrafts. Under normal wind conditions, flying is generally smooth, allowing you to glide comfortably into the Simmental valley from the convenient take-off spots. Be cautious of some cables near the Rotenbach landing area. There is also a restaurant at the summit for refreshments.
