Description
Located at an elevation of 2005 meters, this site offers a beautiful alpine meadow and is an excellent winter launch spot for ski starts. The take-off directions are North, Northeast, and South. It is occasionally used, and cross-country flights are possible.

The site provides good comfort with an alpine meadow setting. The launch area is right next to the mountain station, making it very convenient. The panoramic view from the nearby mountain restaurant is stunning and worth a visit.
Access:
- Drive to Sarnen, head towards Brünig, Lungern.
- At the village exit (traffic light), turn right towards Obsee to the cable car parking lot.
- Take the cable car in two sections to Schönbüel.
- Landing options include Lungern Obsee near the parking lot or a meadow by the lake (windsock present).
Remarks:
- The launch site is right by the mountain station.
- The area is popular in winter as a ski resort.
- Good thermal conditions can lead to cross-country flights towards Pilatus, Interlaken, or Haslital.
- Lungern by the lake offers a campsite and a family-friendly lakeside bath.
