Description
At an altitude of 1574 meters with a height difference of 1000 meters, this paragliding site offers a unique experience. The site is accessible with a 15-minute walk and is rarely used, making it a serene spot for soaring and potential cross-country flights.
When the bise (a local wind) blows, the terrain facilitates takeoff from the hillside with the wind coming from the left. This takeoff point brings you closer to the Baulmes landing field. However, if the bise is strong enough, it might be more interesting to drift and land at Lignerolle.
In north-west conditions, this takeoff is generally less windy than the summit, allowing for a secure launch before catching the soaring lift from the summit. To head towards the landing area, it's easier to start on the right and then fly over the ridge about 1 km further. Be cautious of the north wind; you might not have enough lift to pass the ridge and return to Baulmes. There is an emergency landing spot (on a slope) at La Combette.
