Description
Fly over Kitzbühel. Some flight experience is helpful. Do not confuse this spot with Hahnenkamm-Reutte.
This location is relatively rarely used, primarily for soaring. Some cross-country flying is possible.
Region: Kitzbühel - Austria. Flights near this point: 319. Site record: 64.1 km.
You can see directly onto the 'Mausefalle' section of the 'Streif' downhill course and launch from a steep grassy slope. From the mountain station, head immediately to the right.
The ski area also offers something for paragliding and hang gliding pilots. Compared to Choralpe, Hohe Salve, and Pinzgau, this area is much quieter. Flying is possible in both summer and winter. Have you ever flown over the Streif?
Special notes and webcam: Avoid launching from Hahnenkamm in westerly winds due to turbulence. Foehn weather conditions should also be avoided.

Directions: From the north, take the Inntalautobahn, toll-free until Kufstein-Süd. Continue towards Wörgl, then take the B170 through Hopfgarten to Kitzbühel. Immediately after the tunnel, turn right onto the B161 towards Paß Thurn / Mittersill. Before the tennis arena, turn right towards the Hahnenkammbahn. There is a large parking lot here. There is a train station directly in front of the valley station. The landing field is just a few meters away.
Guest pilots are asked to register at the valley station of the Hahnenkammbahn. Start and landing fees can also be paid here.
