Description
Located in Switzerland, this paragliding site sits at an elevation of 1680 meters and is regularly used for soaring. Some cross-country (XC) flying is possible here. The launch site is primarily used for training, and schools have priority. Be cautious of the trees below the launch area.
The main take-off direction is West-Northwest (WNW), with strong thermal updrafts typically occurring in the afternoon. Although the launch site is referred to as a 'training' area, it is only about 20 meters long and is followed by small trees, making it suitable only for experienced pilots. If the wind is too strong, an alternative launch is available 120 meters lower on a very steep meadow.
The launch site is situated at the northern end of the saddle, requiring a descent from the summit. Be aware of the strong wind (venturi effect) and always give priority to training schools. Please pay attention to the information boards on-site.
