The towing path was cleared with a quad on June 26, 2012, and several test flights were conducted. Despite the towing path being only 700 meters long, the release heights reached around 270 meters in calm wind conditions. To maintain the site, it is crucial to adhere to specific rules. The local farmers have allowed access through their fields for a compensation fee, making towing possible. It is important to park in designated areas: Steinstraße for upper launches and Höhenweg for lower launches. Vehicles are not allowed on the field, except for the towing vehicle.
