The takeoff area is a steep meadow in a forest clearing. Marbachegg is well-protected against Föhn winds, making it a reliable spot when other locations are not flyable. It is also a good spot during Bise winds, often allowing for excellent soaring along the ridge. Example Flight: Marbach-Schratte-Marbach The area is highly protected from Föhn winds. Despite the minimal altitude differences, flights to Lucerne are not uncommon. Otherwise, soaring is the main activity, especially under the influence of Bise winds.
