The site at Han-sur-Lesse offers a unique paragliding experience with a stunning view from the 'Belvédère' panorama in the former bed of the Lesse River. This site is open year-round and is suitable for both hang gliding and paragliding. However, it requires a very high level of piloting skill due to the challenging cliff launch. Only members of the FBVL or a similar foreign federation are allowed to fly here, and individual aerial liability insurance is mandatory. The takeoff area is a small grassy limestone slope that can accommodate only one wing at a time. The launch is very short and technical, offering a splendid view. The site is part of the 'Parc National de Lesse et Lomme,' and it is imperative to respect the natural reserve's rules. Access to the site is straightforward. From Han-sur-Lesse, take the N86 towards Rochefort. After 1 km, turn right towards Hamerenne and follow the signs to 'Le Belvédère.' The parking area is 700 meters further, and the takeoff spot is at the second small clearing. Facilities include a small parking area 100 meters from the site, with food and drinks available in Han-sur-Lesse. The site can be very technical and turbulent, especially with winds over 20 km/h or gusty conditions. The flight type is primarily ridge soaring, with the possibility of local thermals. The site features a chalk cliff and two small turbulent valleys. There is a risk of landing just behind the takeoff area (200 m).
