Launch Site: The launch is straightforward, usually with a light headwind. If you encounter tailwind or crosswind in thermal conditions, avoid flying into the launch pump as it can be turbulent. Landing Site: The Frutigen airfield is usually not reachable without thermals. There is an emergency landing site in Kandergrund at the foot of the Grimers.
