The launch site is suitable for north wind conditions and evening thermal flights along the Jura chain. When flying over the low-growth area east of the launch site, do so only above the field path or at a high altitude to protect rare bird species.
In June, do not fly over the wildlife protection area east of the launch site.

To reach the launch site, drive from Unter Grenchenberg to Ober Grenchenberg and continue to Längschwang. From there, follow the hiking trail to the launch site. The launch site is a moderately steep, cleared meadow.
