Paragliding Dunn, AL

This site in the USA has an elevation of 397 meters and is rarely used for paragliding. It offers some opportunities for thermal soaring and toplanding. The site record is 5.7 km. As of the latest update in 2016, there is still a hang glider ramp, but shrubs and trees have grown on the launch site, making it less safe for launching. You could still attempt a launch in a more adventurous manner if you choose. The land ownership has changed hands, and the new owners are not particularly welcoming to pilots. Efforts to form a club to negotiate access have not been successful so far. However, there are still plenty of landing zones (LZs) available in the area.
