This site features a very steep and deep bowl, making it soarable in light winds. However, it becomes quite challenging in stronger winds, even for hang-gliders. There are no special rules for flying here.
To get there, follow the A701 road around the bowl; it's hard to miss. Park at the monument car park.
For launching, both hang-gliders and paragliders should carry their gear around the bowl from the road. There is plenty of space to rig and launch.
Top landing is possible and preferred over bottom landing. For bottom landing, choose a field without animals or crops. Hang-gliders should be prepared to phone their driver to go 10+ miles around to retrieve them unless they are fit to walk up. Paragliders should follow the same guidelines.
Be cautious of the forest behind the site and potential turbulence in stronger winds.
