If you return from a cross-country flight in the late afternoon, you can find thermals at Danielsweid to extend your flight. Access: In Blankenburg, turn off the main road next to the armory. After 200 meters, turn right towards Schlatt, then keep right along the slope and drive uphill until you reach the windsock.
