Description
Located in the stunning region of Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, this paragliding and hang gliding site offers an elevation of 2030 meters with a height difference of 920 meters. The site is regularly used and is suitable for cross-country (XC) flights, particularly for hang gliders (HG), although paragliders (PG) can also achieve distances of 20 km or more without difficulty.

Access by car involves a route that includes gravel and poorly maintained asphalt roads. From the main road connecting Cortina, Pocol, and Passo Falzarego, turn right at the signs marked '20'. The flight operations are permitted from June 1st to the end of October.
The launch area is a mix of gravel and rough asphalt, with a specific path leading to the Tofana launch site. The site is particularly favorable for hang gliders, with a height difference of 928 meters to overcome. The launch is just above the windsock, and hang gliders should repack only after clearing the trees.
An additional option is Ski and Fly from an upper launch site, which is 300 meters higher but only suitable with east and south winds. The start is directly next to a hut by the ski slope. Winter flights are tolerated by the lift and ski area operators, with landing possible almost anywhere in the valley meadows or halfway down by a hut (for paragliders).
In winter, access is possible via the Rumerlo ski lift (2 sections) without skis. Parking is available, but it is advisable to arrive early.
Soaring is possible halfway up in front of the Pocol monument, a visible tower from the launch site. The valley wind from the south provides good lift against the slope. If the wind decreases, landing on the meadows below is easy.
Accommodation options include two campsites by the river, with landing places nearby.
