Parapente Chaumont

Located in the Neuchatel region of Switzerland, this paragliding site offers a takeoff altitude of 1124 meters with a height difference of 340 meters, making it suitable for easy to medium-level pilots. The site is regularly used and offers opportunities for both soaring and cross-country flights. The takeoff is oriented to the north-northwest and can still be used even with a tendency for west winds. If the wind at Chasseral is too strong, this site often remains flyable. However, the takeoff area is relatively small, being just a narrow clearing in the forest. Once airborne, you'll enjoy a stunning view over the Val de Ruz. As you gain altitude, an impressive panorama unfolds, featuring the three lakes and the Alps in the background. The unofficial landing zone is spacious and straightforward, located directly below the takeoff area and marked with a windsock.
