Description
Located in Cogollo del Cengio, Italy, this paragliding site offers an elevation of 1245 meters with a height difference of 1020 meters. It is frequently used and known for thermal soaring, making it possible to enjoy cross-country flights. The site record is 75.0 km.
The launch area is a grassy field, suitable for both hang gliding and paragliding. The site is easy to access via the road from Garziere, Piovene Rocchette, towards Asiago, and then 1.5 km past Barricata, turning towards M. Pau, reaching Ceresana (20 km).
The landing zone is located at Colombare, at an altitude of 280 meters above sea level, visible from the takeoff point and approximately 3 km away. There are various emergency landing options available.
This area is popular among hang gliders, gliders, and paragliders. Takeoff is best with winds from the South, South-East, or South-West. There are excellent cross-country flight opportunities towards M. Summano or Bassano, though be cautious of turbulence around M. Paù and the critical point at Valle di Lavarda.
The launch site is well-maintained with benches and tables, and it is easily accessible by car via a paved road.
