Description
Blomberg, located near Bad Tölz in Germany, offers a beautiful paragliding site over the Isar Valley. The takeoff height is 1212 meters with a height difference of 500 meters. This site is regularly used for soaring, and occasionally, some cross-country flights are possible. There are two launch sites available. The region is managed by the Lenggrieser Gleitschirmflieger e.V. All three launch sites are located in clearings. From Blomberg, scenic cross-country flights into the flatlands are possible, such as to the Greiling glider airfield. The landing site at Stallauerweiher is challenging to approach. For more details, you can check with the Lenggrieser Gleitschirmflieger or the Drachenfliegerclub Isarwinkel. Blomberg is a small but excellent flying mountain, especially good for soaring in east wind conditions. The newly created launch sites now also allow for takeoffs in northeast and northwest directions.
