From there, it's a 1h 30 min hike along the trail towards Bäregg. The launch site is 100m to the left of the Bäregg mountain restaurant. The launch area is smooth and mostly free of rocks. Launch direction is in the fall line towards the glacier. Occasionally, there is some crosswind. Thermals and soaring can be accessed along the slope towards Grindelwald. Fly slightly right around the corner towards Pfingstegg. The terrain is rocky, so maintaining a safe distance from the ground is important. Usage is free. The local club Jungfrau Tächi manages the site and provides instructions. Suitability Normal launch time is from 12:00 to 19:00. Thermals start from 13:00. Generally good flying conditions except during Föhn winds. Occasionally light crosswind. Rapid ascent is guaranteed in Bise conditions. A beautiful paratrekking flight.
