The Axalp, situated above Lake Brienz near Interlaken, is a popular site for paragliding enthusiasts, especially those interested in acro flying over water. The site is regularly used for soaring, leisure flights, and acro training. The main launch area faces west and is known for its significant altitude difference and proximity to the lake, making it ideal for acro maneuvers.
In winter, you can take the chairlift up to the launch site, while in summer, you can hike up and start from various suitable spots. The site is frequently used by the Acro Club Berner Oberland, which organizes training days with a safety boat. It is also the venue for the Acrolake competition.
