Access: From Churwalden, take the chairlift to Alp Stätz. From there, it's a 30-minute walk to the take-off site. The take-off area is a steep, slightly hilly meadow.

Alp Stätz, located at the foot of the Stätzerhorn, offers a north-facing launch site in an active thermal area. From here, you can potentially connect to the Fanas-Davos-Flims triangle under good conditions. Enjoy soaring at Alp Stätz or take scenic flights to Parpan or Lenzerheide.
Be cautious of turbulent conditions caused by the Föhn and the north valley wind, especially around Valbella during mid-year. Always check for wildlife reserve restrictions at the mountain station or contact the Lenzerheide flight school at 079 430 70 30.
For winter soaring, Bise winds can provide opportunities, though it can be extremely cold.
