Paragliding Alassio Capo Mele Laigueglia

Height: 200 meters, Length: 2000 meters This site is rarely used and is forbidden from May 1st to September 30th each year. It offers good soaring conditions and toplanding is possible. Paragliding and Hang Gliding Takeoff altitude: 220 meters above sea level. Efficiency: 1:3. Directions: Coming from the east, after passing Capo Mele and before descending to Andora, take the road that climbs to the right under the shade of the pine forest. Continue uphill for about 2.5 km until you reach the road leading to the AMI radar facilities. Here, take a left onto a road that narrows after a few hundred meters. Continue until you reach Via Semaforo, which ends at the beginning of a dirt road. Park your car here and walk about 50 meters to reach the takeoff point. The slope allows for an easy takeoff, but be cautious of the pine trees below and the power line to the right. This is a classic dynamic flight typical of Liguria. You can soar along the slope overlooking Laigueglia. Following the ridge, it is possible to reach Alassio. Landing is on the beach of Laigueglia, usually in the section closest to Capo Mele as it is the widest. After crossing the Statale Aurelia, you can pack up in a large parking area. Top landing is recommended only for experienced pilots. Takeoff: Pronounced slope, take off with wind. Pay attention to the two big trees in front of the takeoff.
